The Desire to Share#

For years, I’ve harboured the desire to share my thoughts and experiences through writing, yet I’ve hesitated, primarily because English isn’t my native language, even though it has been the lingua franca of my IT and software engineering career for the past two decades. From coding to documentation, it’s been an integral part of my daily routine.

Overcoming Self-Doubt#

Additionally, I’ve grappled with impostor syndrome, often questioning whether my contributions offer unique value. When exploring new topics, I generally rely on the internet for research, consuming existing information and documentation. This reliance has made me feel my insights merely echo existing information.

Embracing the Journey#

Despite this immersion, the thought of expressing myself creatively in English has been daunting. Fearing that I might not articulate my ideas eloquently has often held me back. However, I’ve come to realise that perfection is the enemy of progress and that sharing my unique perspective can still offer value, even if the information isn’t entirely new. Writing, like any other skill, improves with practice. Through this blog, I aim to hone my writing skills, embrace the learning curve, and connect with readers who resonate with my experiences.
